This intervention will consist of the closing up of an existing balcony and three windows and the infilling of this balcony to create the solid structural support pier for the new bridge landing. This support pier will be finished in matching stone. It will also include the modification of the existing glazed atrium façade to allow direct access from the bridge into the Tyndall atrium. Phase 3: A cantilevered boardwalk, with detail structural connections onto the Lee Maltings Complex (Protected Structure Ref597), will connect the new bridge to Grenville Place, thereby completing the public connectivity to the currently proposed and future developments on the North Mall site.
